SUPPOSED LINK WITH EGYPT. [BY TELEGRAPH.- own correspondent.] WHANGAREI, Tuesday. Reference to the contention that some ancient carvings found at Kaingaroa ware of Egyptian origin was made at the Whangarei Rotary Club's luncheon to-day by Mr. A. 11 Crane. He stated that on a sandy beach near the Ncrth Cape pieces of crockery which seemed to be Egyptian had been found ; and the fact lent colour to, the possibility that the Maori had Egyptian blood in his veins.
