FLIGHT TO AUSTRALIA.
GOBHAM'S GOOD PROGRESS. DARWIN PROBABLY TO-MORROW. A. and N.Z. BATAVIA. Aug. 2. Mr. Alan J, Cobham, who is flying to Australia, to-day reached Sourabaya, on tho north-east coast of Java, The trip from Batavia took five and a-half hours. The airman expects to reach Bima, on the. Sumbowa Island, Dutch East Indies, to-morrow, and Kupang, Timor Island, on Wednesday. The next stage, to Port Darwin, Northern Territory of Australia, he expects to complete on Thursday.
