MATCHES AT TE AROHA. f BROADFOOT BEATS MeKNICHT. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TE AROHA, Tuesday. In the professional boxing contest held under tho auspices of the Te Aroha Boxing Association yesterday .T. Broadfoot, Waihi, secured the verdict over N. McNight, Hamilton. in a 10-rounda contest of three-minute rounds. Broadfoot scored frequently with (ailing punches, being heavier than hia opponent. It was' a clean and willing contest, always entertaining to watch. At the conclusion of the match there was a demonstration against the referee's decision Other bouls resulted: —B. Cumming, To Aroha, defeated H. Marshall. Te Aroha, on coin Is; R. McConnell. Waihi, defeated J. Smith, Mprrihsville, on points; N. Broadfoot. Waihi. defeated E. Sainsbury, Te Aroha; C. Broadfoot, Waihi, defeated C. Wricht, Tfc Aroha, on jpohita; G. Nicholson. Gordon, defeated I. Lund, Matnmata, on points; M. Hulton, Waihi, lost to P. Coombs, To Aroha, ou points.
