SERIES OF ACCIDENTS.
MAN STRUCK BY MCWOR-BUS. SEVERE INJURIES TO HEAD. Through being knocked down by a City Council motor-bus at the corner of Karangahape Road and Symonds Street about four o'clock yesterday afternoon Mr. Oliver Gerald Noakes, aged 43, sustained severe injuries. Mr. Noakes resides at 20, Bellwood Avenue, Dominion Road. Ho was. reported by the hospital authorities early this morning to be in a satisfactory condition. Severe scalp wounds wero sustained by Mr. James Kelly, of 78, Lome Street, as the result of a fall down a flight of steps. 110 was admitted to the hospital about half-past nine last evening. As the. result' of a fall from a power pole at Manurewa Mr. T. Patterson, aged 21, an employee of the Auckland Electric Power Board, suffered a broken nose, cuts on the face and injuries to the knees. Mr. P. McGirr, a painter, of 53, King Edward Avenue, Dominion Road, received injuries to the spine through falling while painting.
