AN UNAUTHORiSED DRIVE.
DAMAGE TO BE MADE GOOD.
A charge of converting to his use a Wescott motor-car, valued at £350, the property of Sidney Carey, was admitted in the Police Court yesterday by Freeman Robert Aymcs, aged 18 (Mr. Hart). Sergeant Cahvell said accused was employed by Carey and was sent on a message in the car on Friday evening. He returned the car, but took it out later without permission. The outcome was that the car was smashed up in Hobson Street, the damage amounting to about £75. Counsel asked the magistrate, Mr. Foynton, to take accused's age into account." Accused was placed on probation for three years and was ordered to make good the damage done to the car.
