SYDNEY COACHMAKERS.
UNION'S LATEST DEMANDS. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. July 24. The Coachmakers' Union, on behalf of its members who are employees of the Railway Commissioners, has lodged claims asking for a 36-hours week for painters and an increase in their wages by 25 per cent. It also demands a 40-hours week for members of the union who are engaged in carriage and waggon building and in carriage trimming.
