Paterson, formerly minister at St. John's Presbyterian Church, took place to-day. Representatives of other denominations and all branches of the community were present in large numbers. After *a short memorial service at St. John's Church the body was conveyed to Karon Cemtery. Very many floral tributes were received which testified to the esteem in which deceased was held throughout th Dominion. The Rev. Dr. Gibb delivered a eulogistic address. Mr, Paterson's pastorate at St. John's, he said, had been an inspiration to all. He "had i lived to see the growth of his. work, both for Church and State, and he had by his manifold activities contributed. greatly to .this progress.
