SEARCH FOR DAUGHTER.

QUEST OF SYDNEY WOMAN.

JOURNEY MADE TO LONDON. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 8.30 p.m.) LONDON. July 23. The newspapers give prominence to a story concerning the mission of Mrs. Gregory, of Sydney, who reached London on Monday week to search for her daughter, Bertha. The girl came to England before the war to study singing. During the war she nursed in a hospital, where she was unexpectedly recognised by her brother, who was brought to the hospital wounded. Letters written by the girl ceased five years ago after the girl's marriage to a wealthy merchant. The mother therefore decided to come to London. So far the search has been resultless.
