TORONTO EXHIBITION.
DISPLAY BY NEW ZEALAND.
EXTENSIVE SHOW ARRANGED.
New Zealand is to be well represented at the Canadian National Exhibition, which will take place at Toronto in the last week of August and the first week of September. Though of only a fortnight's duration, this exhibition, which is an annual event, is one of-the chief events ol its kind in the American Continent. To it visitors flock in crowds from all parts of the United States and Canada, and it is expected that during the two weeks the attendance will number two millions.
From New Zealand there is being sent the cream of the New Zealand exhibits at the recent Dunedin Exhibition. Selections were made by the representatives of the Department of Industries and Commerce from the exhibits that were likely to be of greatest interest to Canadians and highest value to New Zealand, and in every instance the owners assented to the proposition that the department should be allowed to take charge of them, and see to their transport to Toronto. There they will be housed in a separate building and given all possible prominence. Mr. J. W. Collins, Secretary of the Department of Industries and Commerce, who will have charge of the New Zealand exhibits, left for Canada by the Aorangi yesterday.
