AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE. About the usual amount of business was transacted on tho Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday. Government securities were in general demand, all classes listed being asked for. but no business was done. Offers for Inscribed Stock, 1933, improved by 5s to £96 10s, and thosa for Soldiers' Loan eased by 2s 6d to £99 7s 6d. Monday's inquiries for commercial and local body debentures wore renewed without attracting fresh quotations from holders. In banks Nationals of New Zealand were done at £6 19s 6d, more being wanted at £6 18s 6d, sellers £?. New Zealands changed hands at 61s 6d, with further demand at that price, sellers asking 61s 9d, against opening quotations of 625. There was an accommodating movement in New South Wales, sellers dropping from £45 10s to £45 ss, and buyers advancing from £44 10s to £44 15s. In insurance Nationals had demand at 78s, sellers 80s. New Zealands wore unchanged at 40s and 39s 9d. Buyers of South British advanced 6d to 60s 6d, no holders being revealed. In gas Aucklands, ordinary, Josed at 23s 9d and 23s Bd, compared with 23s lOd and 23s 7d the previous day. In shipping Huddart-Parkers were done at 44s 9d, the market closing at 45s and 44s 6d, as on Monday. In miscellaneous Dominion Pictures had sale at 20s and Milno and Choyco debenture stock at 25s 3d; Farmers' Fertiliser sold at 103s, the market closing at 104s and 102s, compared with 104s and 101s 6d on the previous day. In mining Alburnias sold at 6s. Moanataiaris closed at 2s Id and Is lOd, compared with 2s 3d and Is 8d the previous day. There were sales of Lucky Shot, contributing, at Is 6d and Is 4d. closing rates being Is 5d and Is 3d, compared with Is 7d and Is 4d. New Waiotahi, contributing, wero done at Is sd.
