INDIAN ARMY HOCKEY TEAM.
As the Indian Army hockey team proceeds on its triumphant tour of New Zealand, it becomes more 'and more apparent that the visitorc are real champions. The team has now played and won eight matches. Their total score in goals is 86, while only 8 have been scored against them. This is a really wonderful record.-' ■ ■ - ■ ■ . The team's record reads as follows: V. Waipa—Won, 11 to 0. V. Waikato —Won, 7 to 0. V. South Auckland—Won, 8 to 0. V. Taranaki —Won, 7 to 2. V. Hawke's Bay—Won, 13 to 2. "V". Dannevirke —Won, 20 to 0. V. Wanganui—Won, 1 -12 to 1. V. Wellington—Won, 8 to 3. ~Y. Nelson—Won. 9 to 0.
Judging by the results of the tour to date,. it geerns apparent that the only team that will extend the Indians will be the New Zealand test team. The first test will be played in Ghristchurch on June 26, and the second test in Auckland on July 10.
