ANCIENT GIANT RACE.
REPORT FROM MEXICO. BONES IN BURIAL MOUNDS. (Received 18.15 p.m.) Reuter. VANCOUVER. May 14. Advice from Tepic, Mexico, states that the discovery of the bones of people belonging lo p. race of giants, who lowered more tlia.n uOft. high, is reported by Captain Page, "an American, and Captain Devalda, an Englishman, who have returned from an unsuccessful search for legendary Spanish goldmines. The discovery is claimed to have ben made in great burial mounds in the moantains south-west of' Tepic. Ths state of preservation of the bones indicated that the race lived more than 500 years ago. ■
The reported discovery finds some substantiation in tales which have been handed down through generations among the Indian tribes on the coast of Mexico.
