Young, of Hikutaia, arrived yesterday and are at the Rovjd Hotel. \ Mr. R. Coopman, of I,ondon and M:r. R. Morgan, of Wanganui, are at the Hotel Cargen. \ Mr. R. G. Clark was last evening reelected chairman of the One Tree Hill Road Board Mr. W. S. La Trobe, superintendent of technical education, of Wellington, is at the Star Hotel. Mr. R. Caugbey and Mr. P. A. Crossthwaite, of Wellington, and Mr. R. J. Dickinson, of London, are at the Grand Hotel. Mr. A. L. Berry, of Taihape, Mr. J. Phillips, of Matamata, and Mr. J. Lassen, of Wellington, are at the Royal Hotel Mr. A. D. Thomson and Mr. W. S. Austin, of Wellington, and Mr. S. Q. Jounnfians, of Whangarei, are at the Star Hotel. Mr. J. McEnnis, district engineer of the Public Works Department, Whangarei, arrived yesterday and is at the Star Hotel. Mr. Eric Baiime cables from Sydney to the effect that he has been appointed city editor of the Gnardian and not editor as was previously reported. Mr. A. B. Collier, of Harpfiton, has been appointed genera] manager for Messrs. Ellis and Burnand, Limited, during the absence abroad of the- managing director, Mr. H. Valder. Bishop Paddock, of New York, accompanied by Mrs. Paddock, arrived from Rotorua yesterday and are at the Grand Hotel. They are on a world tour and came to New Zealand from Australia a fortnight ago. Mr. C. H. Buckman, of New Plymouth, Mr. M. Spain, of Dunedin, Mr. Edwin Harding, of Dargavitle, Mr. K. Davidson and Mr. S. C. Charlton, of Tanpo, Mr. J. Tapper, of Rotorua, Mr. D. C. Taylor, of Matamata, and Mr. W. C. McCarr and Mr. P. Calem, of Te Kaiti, are at tha Central Hotel. Mr. W. Thomson, s;tationmaster at Newmarket for the past 13 months, has exchanged positions with Mr. A. K. Dyne, traffic inspector fcr the Auckland district- Mr. Thomson was previously stationmast-er at Levin and Greytown, and chief clerk at Palmerston North. Mr. Dyne until lately was iitationmaster at Hamilton, and before that relieving officer for the Ohakune district.
