STATEMENT BY MR. COATES. EARLIER THAN USUAL - CABINET RECONSTRUCTION. [llY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION. ] WELLINGTON. Thursday. The Prime Minister, Mr. Contra, returned from the Sonth Island to-day. Ho stated that there would probably bo no announcement regarding Cabinet reconstruction until next week. " There is something inoro important than that in hand," ho said, referring to the British strike. Asked when Parliament wonld meet, Mr. Coatos said it wonld probably bo earlier than usual. Ho would not Ray whether this meant June 10, the date to which Parliament is prorogued, or not.
