EXPORT OF MEAT.
MARKETS ON THE CONTINENT, ITALY, BELGIUM AND FRANCE. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] W ELLIN GTO N, Wednesday. The Meat Producers' Board, in reporting to the New Zealand Farmers' Union to day, stated that it was endeavouring to open up new markets and to develop trade with the Continent. 80 far this season it. had shipped 78.640 freight carcases of meat to Genoa, 39 797 freight carcases of meat to Antwerp and 33,385 freight carcases of meat to Havre. In addition the Raranga was scheduled to load this month 60.000 freight carcases of frozen meat, for Genoa and also a quantity for Havre. There was a prospect of a further steamer being arranged to load in June for Continental ports.
