Tho Pacific Cable Board's steamer Iris returned to Auckland yesterday morning after repairing a Unit in the WellingtonSydney cable about 370 miles from Wellington. Now at Napier, the Federal Line steamer Huntingdon will proceed to Gisborne, Auckland and Wellington to complete loading for New YorV, Boston and West of England ports. Robert Millar and Company have received advice that the Yugoslav steamer Vidovdan was to commence to load nitrate nt Conception. To complete loading for England the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Corinthic sailed on Saturday evening for Napier, Timaru and Wellington. With passengers and mail she is to be despatched from Wellington on May 7 for Southampton and London, via Panama. PASSENGERS FROM ENGLAND. The Norwegian steamer Tugela arrived ; Lvitelton from Wellington on Thursday lo continue unloading maize from Durban and hardwood from Bunbury. The Northern Company has received advice that tho Lamb steamer Omana left Sydney for Auckland on Friday morning with coal nnd timber from Port Stephens and Newcastle. Sho is duo on Thursday. THE BARON MURRAY. Advice received by tho New Zealand Shipping Company states that the steamer Baron Murray arrived at St. John from Louisberg on April 19, to complete loadins for Now Zealand. Sh-» is to clear St. John at the end of this month for Auckland, Wellington Lyttelton and Dunedin. NIAGARA DUE AT 0.15 A.M. Tho Royal Mail steamer. Niagara, from Vancouver, via Honlulu and Suva, will anchor in tho harbour at a quarter past nine this morning according to her wireless advice. After medical inspection she will berth at Princo's Wharf to land passengers, mail and cargo for New Zealand. She is to resume her voyage to Sydney at 3 o'clock to-morrow afternoon, PORT HARDY ARRIVED. < An arrival in port yesterday morning was the Commonwealth and Dominion Lino steamer Port Hardy from Liverpool. She has general merchandise for discharge at Auckland, Wellington. Lyttelton anil Dunedin. Tho cargo was loaded at Glasgow and Liverpool. The Port Hardy sniled from Liverpool on March 13. Stormy wenther, with westerly galea and high seas, was experienced for the first four days. At one period the steamer had to be hove-to for a fetv hours. She was severely buffeted in the storm and a leak developed in the fore part and caused more water than usual to find its way into tho bilges. When the steamer reached finer weather the leakage was not so noticeable. At Colon, where she arrived on March 31, a survey of the jteamer wns made but no damage wns apparent so sho resumed her voyage and cleared Balboa next day.
