"PETER PAN."

Sir,—ln answer to "Britisher's" letter regarding the "Peter Pan" picture, I wish to state that I saw the picture screened -at Everybody's Theatre, Queen Street, Auckland, ou Christmas Eve, 1925. In that picture the Union Jack was flown. 1 can't answer for what happens in Uuuedin. Ji "Britisher" saw a picture at Christmas it could not have been the same film. As to my eyesight, it has been tested and the verdict of one of the best known opticians of Auckland is "perfect sight." T would like to call unori some one of the hundreds in Everybody's Theatre on Christinas Eve to corroborate my statement concerning the use of the Union Jack in that picture. • - Aoxka-roa. Sir,—As. regards the. film picture of "Peter Pan,-' may.l say. that soou after its production here I heard, from a friend in Dunedin who complained of ..the' American flag and sentiments displayed in- t ire film shown there. Members of our household have seen the film several times in different theatres in Auckland; I, myself, have seen it twice. ! In each case was tli6 Union Jack shown and the sentiments thoroughly British. The explanation is obvious: That special section of the film was made, twice, once for exhibition in British theatres ' and a second time fof® l use in'- those of U.S.A., where naturally Americans will wish to instil their own patriotic sentiments in America's children! By sorne oversight an American version has been sent to and shown in some of our towns in New Zealand. Another Britisher.
