AUCKLAND SITTING OPENS. FIXTURES FOR HEARING. The preliminary sitting of the Arbitration Court in its present session in Auckland was held yesterday. Mr. Justice Frazer presided, and with him were Mr. \Y. Scott, assessor for the employers, and Mr. A. L. Monteith, newly-elected assessor for the employees. To-morrow.—lnterpretation of Engineers' Award; Auckland City Council dispute; engiuedrivers' apprentices' question; inspector of Awards v. I.ee; Inspector of Awards v. Jaffe. Friday.—Compensation cases, \V. T. Cook v. the Crown, and Carlyon v. Roose Shipping Company. Saturday.—Private Hotels Award, applications for exemption. Monday. —Fish trade dispute; apprenticeship matters. Tuesday. —Shipping cases, and interpretation and applications to add parties. Wednesday.—Compensation cases, Martin v. Pukeweka Sawmills, Ltd.: Bootes v. Henderson; Nathan v. Waitawheta Sawmilling Company. Thursday.—Gisborne Harbour Board employees' dispute.
