Matters are likely to be quiet on the local trotting tracks for the next week or two as there will be no meeting in Auckland until the middle of June. It is reported that Imprint, who has been spelling for Beveral months, has resumed work. It is understood that tie is to receive ft -special preparation for the New Zealand Trotting Cup. On past performances Im"print must be rated a class-pacer and next season he should take very high honours. SPECIAL FAST TIME PURSE. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN, Tuesday. A special meeting of the Forbury Park Trotting Club Committee decided to ofler ft purse of £ 100 for the horse than can do the best time inside 2m 7 3-5s in trials on the second day of the winter meeting. Notification of intention to compete is to be given before Saturday next, each competitor to undertake to start for certain.
