THE LYTTELTON DISPUTE. DECLARATION OF PREFERENCE. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHHISTCHURCH. Tuesday. The shipping owners cojferred to-day and decided to make the Canopus and Coolana preference ships. This means that no fresh labour -will bo' engaged until the two vessels are fully manned. The result -will be a general stoppage of I work in the port unless the men agree to I work the two steamers.
