BAKEHOUSE IN FLAMES.
BOWLERS FIGHT OUTBREAK. [by telegraph.—:press association.] NELSON, Thursday. A bakehouse at Brightwater, belonging to Mr. E. C. Schroder, was totally destroyed by fire yesterday. The origin of the outbreak is unknown, but it is thought a quantity of firewood drying in the oven preparatory to night baking became alight. A party of Nelson bowlers, including Mr. A. E. Dee, formerly captain of the Nelson Fire Brigade, gave valuable assistance preventing spread of the fire..
