SAVED BY BLACKBERRIES.
MOTOR PARTY'S ADVENTURES. A Blenheim motor party returning from a visit to the West Coast recently mot with a sensational accident, tho «.*• capsizing over tho sleep bank of tho Bullcr River and rolling over twice before it camo to a standstill. Fortunately, apart from a few bruises, none of the party were injured. The car, driven by Mr. W. R. Jackson, and containing, in addition to Mr. Jackson, Mr. and Mrs 8. W. T. Neuritand Miss Eileen Conolly, all of Blenheim, pulled on to tho side of tho road,, shortly, after Junction, in order to allow a truck" to pass. The road gavo way under the vehicle's weight, tho car capsizing over tho bank and turning ovor .twice beforo it was brought to a standstill, upside down, bv some strong blackberry bushes growing right on the edge of tho gorge. Another inch or two and the vehicle and its occupants would have plunged into tho Bnller.
