WEDDING IN LONDON.

NEW ZEALAND BRIDE. At St. Martin-in-the-Fields, on Februany 26, a wedding of New Zealand interest took place. The bridegroom was Mr. Gerald Barton Browne, of Sydney, and the, bride, Miss Cecily Granville Turner, daughter of the late' Mr. Arthur Turner and Mrs. Turner, and granddaughter of the late Mr. 0. R, Blakistou ■ (Christ* church), and great-granddaughter of Bishop Harper, who went out to the Dominion in the 'fifties. The Ilev. C, Coleridge Harper, Hector of Ford, Northumberland, came up to London to officiate, and he was assisted by the Rev. C. H. Ritchie, acting-vicar of St. Martin-in-the-Fields and formerly of Dunedin. Mrs. Turner gave away her daughter, who wore a simple dress of beige georgette, with hat to match, and carried a bouquet of carnations. Miss Mickey Turner was in attendance dressed in pale greeu crepe de chine. The bridegroom is very well known in New Zealand. He served during the war in the New Zealand Mounted Rifles, and he lias spent a good deal of time in Auckland with his relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Eliott Barton. Following the ceremony Mrs. Turner entertained a few friends at a reception at the Grand Hotel, Trafalgar Square, those invited including Admiral J. E. T. Harper, R.N., and Mrs. Harper, Dr. Gerald Harper, Dr. and Mrs. J. Macnaughtan Christie, Mrs. Empson, Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Wray. Miss Evelyn Moore, Miss Ainger, Miss Stack, Mrs. Fox, Miss V. Russell, Mr. Harold Seddon, Mrs. Walter Moore and Miss Dennistoun. Lady Nolan and Miss Nolan, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Tripp. The bride and bridegroom left for Oxford, where a brief honeymoon is to be spent. On March 6 they will leave for their future home in Sydney. Mrs. Turner and her daughters, who are well known in the Canterbury Province, came to England about fifteen years ago.
