WEDDINGS.
A quiet wedding was celebrated at the residence of Mr. W. Lee, Ward Streot, Ellerslie, on Wednesday, April 7. The contracting parties were Mr. William F. Abbott and Miss Violet Lee. The bride, who was daintily dressed in blue taffeta, was given away by her father. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. G. W. Blair, Ellerslie. In the Milton Presbyterian Church, on March 31, Miss Jessie Jeau Abercrombie, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Abercrombie, of Mount Edan, Auckland, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Mr. Harold Henry Osborne, of Dunedin, formerly of Auckland, fourth son of the late Mr. Wni. C. and Mrs. Osborne, of Mount Eden, Auckland. The officiating clergvman was Rev. A McNeur, brother-in-law of the bride. Mrs. Oliver Findlay, l of Auckland, acted as matron of honour. A very pretty wedding was solemnised last Wednesday at Green Lane Congregational Church, when Leigh Warrington Allardyco, youngest sou of Mrs. K. Foster, Upland Road, Remuera, was married to Mabel Dora, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Holmes, Green Lane. The Rev. Ivan Stebbins performed the ceremony. The service was fully choral, the church having been beautifully decorated by friends of the bride, who wore u dimming frock of chiffon velvet with overdress of hand-made Honiton lacc. Her veil was also trimmed with pearls, making a delightful ensemble. The bridesmaid, Miss Marjorie Fordyce, wore a very pretty frock of blue georgette veiled in heliotrope, and little Jean and Ruth Chandler as flower girls, wore cyclamen blue and pale pink respectively. " Mr. Gilbert Whitburn acted as best man and Mr. Fred. Holmes as groomsman. The marriage took place on Easter Monday, at St, Benedict's Church, of Dallas Duggan, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Duggftn, of Eden Terrace, and John Reginald I)ratlin, only son of Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Draffin, Wairere Avenue, Mount Albert. The church was prettily decorated, and Monsignor Ormond was the celebrant of a solemn nuptial Mass, while Bishop Liston and Re.v. Father Gondringer were in the sanctuary The bride, who entered the church on the ann of her uncle, Mr. J. Mitchell, wore ivory satin with pearl trimmings, and an embroidered veil, with pearl coronet and oranga blossoms. She carried a bouquet of white roses, dahlias and maidenhair fern. The bride was attended by the sister o{ the bridegroom, Miss Vera Draffin who wore a pret.ty dress of turquoise blu« georgette, trimmed with blue satin ribbons and a white tulle hat, and carried a bouquet of white dahlias and maiden-hair fern. Master Scorringi acted aa train-bearer, and wore an ivory satia costume of a medieval page. Mr. I. R. Hammond acted a» best man.
