NEW ZEALANDERS AT HOME
[FROM Otn OWN CORRESPONDENT.] LONDON, February 2G. Mr. H. M. Smeoton (Auckland) expects to leave London on his return to New Zealand by the Mooltan on March 12. Ho will break his journey at, Port Said for four weeks to make a tour in Palestine and Egypt and ho wilt continue his journey to New Zealand via Australia by the Maloja. His daughter Miss Hon a Smeeton, will remain in England for probably two years. Sho has entered for a course of study at the Ridgelands Bible College, preparatory 1o taking up mission work in the foreign field. Mr. Smeeton's friends will bo glad to hear that he has greatly benefited in health by his journey and his sojourn in England. ,T)r. DaVid M. Mitchell (Hunterville) lias been in Edinburgh for six months for professional experience and study. He took his F.R.C.S. Edinburgh degree in the autumn. Dr. Mitchell returned to London a. month ago and has been doing post graduate work. This week ho leaves tor Birmingham to take a special surgical course of two months' duration. About the end of April he expects to leave for New Zealand. Mr. James Cook, the holder of tho Sawtell travelling art scholarship, arrived by tho Rotorua and after spending a week in London he went north to Edinburgh, where ho has entered upon a course of study at the Edinburgh College of Art. no will bo in the northern capital until the end of June, when he expects to come to. London, but at present ho has pot mado "any definite arrangements regarding the school where he will continue his studies. Mr. Frank W. Luko, son of Sir John and Lady Luke (Wellington) has left for the United States, where ho expects to spend a few months before returning to New Zealand.
