TRAIN STRIKES MOTOR.

DANGEROUS LEVEL CROSSING. DRIVER SLIGHTLY INJURED. [BY TELEGRAPH. —rRESS ASSOCIATION.] TAUMARUNUI. Friday. A lady motorist had a narrow escape at the Raugaroa railway crossing on Wednesday night, when a goods train hit the rear of her car and swung it round facing in the opposite direction to that' in which it had been going. The train was travelling slowly and the car suffered little damage, Hut the motorist suffered slight cuts and bruises. A misty rain was falling at the time, making visibility difficult. This is a very dangerous crossing with four roads converging on it, and the view of the line is obscured from one approach by a coal dump. There have been several narrow escapes at this crossing lately.
