Exciting scenes occurred in Hyde Park, London, to-day in connection with a demonstration by the unemployed, which had been organised by the Communists. A crowd of demonstrators attempted to march to Parliament Square, but they were diverted to Hyde Park. There they sang the "Internationale." When the demonstrators attempted to march back to the East End the police broke up the mob and seized the red (lag. Several arrests were made. At one time 100 policemen were struggling against 300 demonstrators near the Marble Arch. The police drew their batons. Finally a force of mounted constables appeared on the scene and dispersed the crowd.
