CLOTHING IN FLAMES.
WOMAN SEVERELY BURNED. , NO ASSISTANCE AT HAND. [by TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Wednesday. Severe burns and shock were suffered by Mrs. Lilian Castletoij, a housekeeper employed b& Mr. Lester Masters, of Eureka. Mrs. Castleton, who is a middleaged woman, was standing in front of an opeu fire, when her dress ignited, and she was enveloped in flames. She was alone in the house at the time and endeavoured to suppress the flames by rolling on the grass on the lawn. Her clothes were literally bprncd off her, and she suffered agony for over an hour before help arrived. Mr. Masters conveyed the injured woman to the Waikato Hospital, where she lies in a critical condition.
