THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL.
The Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson, and Lady Alice Fergusson ■will arrive at Auckland t by the first Wellington express this morning from Morton after an official visi'v to the Palmerston North district. On Tuesday TTiq Excellency will present the prizes won at the Auckland Golf Club's Easter tournament, and on Wednesday evening will present insignia to members of the St. John Ambulance Association. [BY TELEGHAPE. —ITELE3S, ASSOCIATION.] . MABTON, Tuesday. The Governor-General and Lady Alice Fergnsson visited Mod; House to-day and later proceeded to Bulls and Marton. Sir Charles Fergusson eulogised the work and administration of the Flock House fund. He said the scheme was the finest practical example of patriotism. At Bulls Sir Charles and Lady Alice Fergusson were welcomed by the Town Board. Sir Charles addressed a large gathering of school children. Rain militated against a prolonged outdoor ceremony at Marton, but a rousing welcome was not dampened. Ex-service-men, scouts and children were addressed and later the Huntly private school at Ngatawa and the Diocesan school were inspected. An illuminated address, was presented on behalf of the borough and the visitors were entertained to afternoon tea.. Later Sir Charles and Lady Fergusson left for the North.
