(1) Without connlirig on the big possibility of "striking it rich," the conservative estimate of the earnings of the Company assure handsome profits from the start. (2) On a return of 6d per cnbic yard, as established by the old Dredge in 1898, when the claim was prospected from one end,to the other, an annual gross income of £64,800 will be earned. (3) The probability of making phenomenal dividends in addition is too great to be disregarded. The whole history of the Shotover is one of big finds of gold—primitive methods of gold recovery have yielded fortune upon fortune from its banks —old miners assert that there must be untold gold beneath the false clay bottom of the river, (4) The Dredge that the Company proposes to build will be sufficiently powerful to work through this falst; clay bottom right down to the rock. (5) The Directorate is composed of men of great experience in the objects of the Company, and includes retired miners and the Master cf the Dredge which prospected the claim in 1898. (6) The Vendors of the Dredging Rights and the Water Eights for the Hydro-Electric Power do not receive any cash, but rank as ordinary shareholders. This speaks for their complete faith in the prospects of the Company. (7) In no way are the Company's operations dependent on, or affected by, the K&warau Scheme. No tribute is payable to any other Company or syndicate; all gold won is the absolute property of the shareholders; absolute control is in the hands of the shareholders. (8) The Company will own valuable water rights, and erect and operate its own hydro-elec-tric plant for power. This makes a tremendous reduction in operating costs, saves the expense of coal, engine-drivers and stokers (coal for the old Dredge, in 1898, cost £45 a week). (9) The river-bed is exceptionally favourable to dredging, and consists of fine gravel wash, totally free of boulders, etc. This makes a big difference in working expenses compared with well-known localities, where forests have to be cleared and boulders removed. Experienced miners give every assurance that there are torn of gold in the bed of this river waiting for the necessary machinery to lift it CompUte figures of estimated returns, with certified records of the operations of the prospecting Dredge, details of the Company's Dredging Rights s etc., are contained in the Prospectus, a copy of which should he obtained without delay,, Id The Bed d; this River is aadoubiTreasure Chest in Nominal Capital £IOO,OOO.
