A quarrel occurred between James McDonald and Mrs. Angrove, both of whom were employed at Glenloht station, Wycheproof, about 190 miles north-west of Melbourne. Subsequently McDonald was fatally wounded with a shot-gun. Arthur Angrove, husband of the woman concerned, was arrested on a charge of murder. It is alleged that McDonald and Mrs. Angrove quarrelled in the kitchen at the station. McDonald forced the woman's head under a tap. Her husband heard her. cries for help and immediately after he entered the kitchen the shooting occurred.
