A CYCLIST'S DEATH.
CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER. ! . \ INQUEST AT INVERCARGILL. [BY telegraph.—press association.] INVERCARGILL. Moudav At the conclusion of an inquest regarding the death' of Frederick Witty, who was killed l on the North Road on March 8, the coroner returned a verdict that deceased met his death through being run over by a car driven by John Guy Dennison. Dennison is the engineer engaged by the Southland County Council to supervise the work of bituminising the North Road. Evidence showed that the deceased, who was riding a bicycle, had been struck from behind and thrown against the windscreen. Dennison was arrested on a charge of manslaughter. BaiJ was allowed in one surety of £2OO, and he was .remanded to appear on April 7. :
