STREET TRAFFIC DANGER
WELLINGTON CHILD'S DEATH. NECESSITY FOR INSTRUCTION. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION. J WELLINGTON. Monday At the inquest to-day on a child named Paul Jones, aged five, who died of injuries received in Vivian Street on March 8, the evidence showed that the child was seen in an injured condition and died soon after. Witnesses saw a loiry disappear round a corner, but all efforts to trace it failed. The coroner, Mr E. Page, returned a verdict that the child was run over, but there was no adequate evidence to identify the vehicle or driver responsible The coroner added that it was de sirable that instruction should be given in schools regarding the danger of fastmoving traffic in streets.
