GRANT FOR MARKETING.

REDUCTION TO £500,000

A. and N.Z. LONDON, March 17. The Secretary of State for the Dominions, Mr. L. 0. M. S. Amery, stated in the House of Commons that he hoped to be able to announce a proposed grant for the marketing of Empire produce at an early date, also the amount which would be available in the next financial year.

The Dominions had been already informed of' the decision to reduce the present year's grant from £1,000,000 to £500.000. ' ■
