i i < I AN UNEXPECTED THRILL. < !. S There was an unexpected thrill at the J northern district Scots gathering at K Spoors Point, near Newcastle, New South ? Wales, recently. In one of the dancing 5 competitions the judge's decision was < •hooted, and an unprecedented scene fo]- ; 5 lowed. Amid yells of protest a woman J took the lead, urged on by the angry"*spTc- < tators. 1 j For some minutes the woman exchanged > personalities with the judge, from the < ; ground, and then challenged him to get I down from the platform. "I will take it ) ! out of your hide," she called. The judge \ got down from the platform, and there < | was a scuffle, and the judge was struck 1 I I several times J After the argument the dances were con- ' tinned. !
