OBITUARY.
MRS. J. LEONARD,
The death occurred at the Waikato Hospital, Hamilton, on March 12 of Mrs. IPlorenco *1- Leonard, wife of Mr. «T. Leonard, of Albany. Mrs. Leonard was born in Adelaide, South Australia, in 1856, and had been resident in New Zealand for about 30 years. About 12 years ago she removed to Hamilton bnt beforo entering the Waikato Hospital about seven months ago had resided at Albany for about a year. Deceased always manifested a keen interest in social matters and any movement that made for the betterment of the people had her earnest support and sympathy. Mrs. Leonard is survived by her husband, three sons, a daughter and seven grandchildren. Her mother, whose age is 96, is still living.. MRS. E. S. BENTLEY. [BT TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WHAKATANE, Wednesday. The death occurred at InvprcargiD on Tuesday of Mrs, E. S. Bentley, widow of the lato Mr. E. S. Bentley," of Whakatane, after a short illness. Mrs n Bentley was a well-known settler of Whakatane, having lived in the district for 28 years. The lute Mr. Bentley was engaged in farming pursuits at Awaken for a number of years. After disposing of the property Mrs. Bentley lived at Whakatane and later at Invarcargill. She is survived by a son, Mr. R. J. Bentley, of Whakatane, and a daughter, Mrs: W, Morrison, of Invercargiil.
