FINE FACTORY RECORD.
NORTHERN WAIROA BUTTER. HIGH STANDARD OF QUALITY, TELEGRAPH. —OWN COIfRESPONDENT. ] DARGAYILLE. Saturday. During the period Jane 1, 1920, to Febttmry 28, 1926, the Northern Wairoa Dairy Factory has sent to the grading stores 310,138 boxes of butter. Of these 177 boxes in August, 1921, 22 in Jannary, 1925, and 127 in May, 1923, were graded second grade, a total of 8 tons. The remaining 309,812 boxes, or 7745 tons, were graded first grade. These figures probably constitute a record for any factory in the Dominion. Now that importation into the United Kingdom of butter containing preservatives, is prohibited it is particularly gratifying to the Northern Wairoa Company that it has not used preservatives for some years, it has not had to alter its methods of manufacture in the slightest to meet the changed conditions, and its telling agents have always reported on the excellent keeping qualities of tho Northern Wairoa product.
