MOTOR-BUSES COLLIDE.

QUEEN STREET ACCIDENT

A collision between two motor-buses occurred near the intersection of Queen Street and Customs Street at about halfpast ten lfist evening. A City Council bus was proceeding up Queen Street, and following it was one of the G.O.C. buses which run to New Lynn and Avondale. Xhe driver of the first bus signalled that he. was going to stop but the slippery state of the roads made it impossible for the other to pull up in time. It hit the council, bus. damaging its radiator and front mudguards and shattering the windscreen, the driver having v a fortunate escape from being cut by, the falling glass., The council .bus escaped without damage, and there were no passengers injured. The damaged bus had to be towed away after the collision. -
