DOUBLE INCOME TAX.
GRIEVANCE IN ENGLAND. COMPLAINT ABOUT DOMINIONS. Sun. LONDON. March 11. The Northants Chamber of Commerce has adopted a resolution for presentation to the Prime Minister, Mr. Stanley Baldwin, protesting against the system under which certain Dominions charge incometax against absentee principals. A member of the chamber said the New • Zealand authorities, through his agent, were demanding income-tax payments on the estimated profits from his sales in the Dominion. The chamber recommended resistance against these demands and decided to urge the Government to bring up the matter at the Imperial Conference.
