Sir,—l never suggested that-any "explanation " by Mrs. Beasant would "count" for" much with Mr. Norman Burton, but only that it was disingenuous to ignore the explanation as a fact; nor is this defect of candour excused or mitigated by thu> qtieer hash disheci up in his later letter.
