SUBURBAN SECTIONS. REMUERA AND HERNE BAY, The prices realised at the sale of portion of the St. Mark's ■ vicarage block on the corner of Remuera and Bassett Roads yesterday, indicates a fresh stimulus in the market for sections in the better residential areas, and an improvement on the conditions of the past three months. There was keen competition at the' sale, which was conducted by C. F. Bennett, and up to £34 a foot was realised on Remuera Road, and up to £2l on Bassett Road. Lot 1, the corner section, brought £2300; lot 3, £1320; and lot 4, £I3BO. •A freehold section,on the corner of Upland and Benson Roads was sold by Mr. Bennett for £390. A residence of seven rooms, on a section of 1$ roods, at the corner of Wikon and Seymour Streets, Ellerslie, was also aold for £9OO. The homestead and about SO building sections of the Wilson estate, situated between West End and Garnet Roads, Heme Bay. were offered at auction by Samuel Vaile and Bens, Ltd. There was a good attendance, bidding being fairly brisk, and although only ten lots were sold, many were withdrawn at within a few pounds of tho reserve. The highest price was £335 for lot 34 and tho lowest £250 for lot 42.- The average price was about ±'300.Rutherford, Robinson and Austin sold a six-roomed kauri'dwelling in Princes Street, Devonport, for £BBS. A villa of nine rooms with a section of 2* acres in Gray's Avenue. Mangere Crossing, offered on behalf of Mr. Geo. Tozer, by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., was " thdrawn at £1350 A farm of 197 acres at Maungaturoto was sold for £4500. Alfred Bnckland and Sons, ijW., sold the seven-roomed residence and training stables of the late Mr. William Sharp ill Morriu Street, Ellerslie. for £1675.
