DANISH SCIENTIST'S VJSIT. The Danish fishery expert, Dr. J. Schmidt, who has been visiting New Zealand to examine the species of eels in New Zealand waters, secured specimens from Pipiriki, on the Wanganui River. Dr. Schmidt is now on his way to Tahiti, where he will continue his investigations of the eels in the streams there.
