PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD.

[BY TELEGRAPH, —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Thursday. The Waikato Hospital Board met at Hamilton, Mr. J. P. Bailey presiding. The Department of Health wrote approve ing of plans for ap additional female ward and recovery block' at the hospital, The Nurses and Midwives Registration Board notified its approval of the Waikato Hospital as a school for the training of nurses. It was decided to obtain a report from the House and Finance Committee on the condition of the bacteriological department at the hospital, also to ask the Waipa County Council to reconsider its decision declining to form the footpath leading to the hospital. During the month of February, 221 cases were admitted to the Waikato Hospital. There were seven deaths. Discharges totalled 223, and a total of 204 cases remained at the end of the period. There were three admissions to the Old Men's Homo. One case was transferred to the hospital and there were 37 inmates at the enr} of the month. The Matamata Hospital received 11 patients and during the month five were discharged, seven remaining. The Arapuni district nurse reported that 36 cases were visited in the district and 225 were treated at the surgery. At Mokai, 39 were attended and advised. Fourteen eases were attended and advised at To Whaiti.
