SWIMMING AT SCHOOLS.
AN INSTRUCTOR SUGGESTED. [BY TELEGRAPH,—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WESTPORT. Thursday. At the school swimming sports meeting to-day Carl Atkinson, of Canterbury, former holder of nearly every New Zealand championship from 100 yds to one mile, gave an instructive demonstration of various modes of swimming. Later it was suggested that the Education Department should secure Atkinson's services as instructor for the schools.
