MATERNITY HOSPITAL.
PROJECT AT CAMBRIDGE. THE MINISTER APPROACHED.; [Bi TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.} HAMILTON. Thursday. A deputation of Cambridge ' residents waited on the Minister of Health, Hon. J. A. Young, in Hamilton to-day and asked that the Government guarantee the interest and sinking fund on a loan which would be raised at Cambridge, for the purchase of a maternity hospital in that town. The Minister said he knew of no statutory authority for giving such a guarantee and suggested that the Cambridge people should put their proposal before the Waikato Hospital Board. In the meantime he would have the position investigated.
