GERMANY REMEMBERS. SONS WHO DIED IN WAR. Renter. / BERLIN, Feb. 28. To-day was observed throughout Germany as a day of mourning for Germans who died in the war. President Hindenburg and the Government issued a joint manifesto declaring that the German' people cannot bo destroyed if they remain united and loyal. All flags were flown at half-mast, theatres and places of amusement were closed, and many memorial services were held.

The Socialists and Democrats -simultaneously observed the anniversary of the death of Herr Ebert, the former President.
