THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL.

NAVAL OFFICERS' CALLS. The Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson, received a visit from Captain J. Docoux, of the French sioop Cassiopee, yesterday morning. Last evening a dinner in honour of Captain Decoux and his officers was held at Government House. An official call will be paid to His Excellency this morning by Captain Yuriichi Yedahara, of the Japanese training ship Iwate, 'and in the evening the captain and his officers will be entertained at dinner at Government House. Next- Tuesday a garden party will be held in Government House grounds.
