REFORM MEETING TO-NIGHT, CHOOSING THE CANDIDATE. The preliminary by-election campaign in Eden did not make any notable progress over the week-end. The series of Reform Party meetings for the appointment of delegates to a general meetis<j was brought to a close on Saturday evening.

The general meeting is to be held in the Kozie Theatre, Mount Albert, this evening, and will be private. An announcement regarding the choice of a candidate will probably be made immediately afterwards. There are a number of aspirants, and no one will be chosen except on. a majority vote, of the delegates siresent.
