PIGEON FLYING.
THE AUCKLAND CLUB. The Auckland Club flew a race from Te Kuiti on Saturday, an air-line distance of 193 miles. The winning bird, tlie property of H. Cornthwnite, covered the distance in three hours 18 minutes. Following are the results:—H. Cornthwaite's r c h Croydon Lass., velocity 927 yds per minute, 1: H. and A. Cole's blk c Black Addeo, 897 yds, THE PREMIER CLUB. The Premier Club flew a race from Te Kuiti on Saturday. The birds %vere "liberated at eleven o'clock, and the winner, W. Knight's bird, arrived at iI.SO p.m. Thiß was his second victory out of the three races flown this season. ' Results are as follow:- W. The winning bird's velocity was 963 yards a minute. Following are the results:—Wattam's b c c Gramlviow, velocity 903 yds per minute, 1; MuWasttrr'a b n Sunnyvale Miss Aroha, 9G2yds. 2: Fuller toll's blk h Tyne Papa, OGlyds, 3; McEvoy ' Bros' r c h 900ydfi, DOMINION HO,MING CLUB. The Dominion Homing Club flew its fourth race 'of the young bird serie« from Taumarunui on Saturday, in boistes'ous weather, and it proved to be the hardest race of the season. Only three birds out of 60 sent were successful in regaining,their lofts on the day of liberation. J. Hipwell's blk c o won by a margin of three minutea. Following are the results : J.
