WEDDINGS.

A very pretty wedding took place on Wednesday afternoon at the Auckland Baptist Tabernacle, when Miss Winifred Wood, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. W'ood, of was married to Mr. Raymond Clare, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clare, of Auckland. The Rev. Joseph Kemp officiated. The church was tastefully decorated by girl friends of the bride. The bride looked charming in ivory crepe de chine trimmed with pearls, the train of embossed crepe de chine lined with shell pink. She wore a handsome veil and orange blos«"ms and parried a beautiful bouquet of lily auratums. The chief bridesmaid was Miss Winifred Saunders, who wore, apricot crepe de chine, Miss Ruby Matthews, in mauve crepe de chine and silver was the other bridesmaid. Miss Joyce Savage, attired in pale pink, acted as flower girl. Mr. Max Thorpe was best man aud Mr. Archie Joan groomsman.

A wedding of considerable interest was solemnised at St. John the Baptist Church, Hunterville, on • _ ' o , ' 21, when George Stops, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Stops, Tiffield Manor, Northampton, was married to Olive V. Davey, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Chas., Davey, of Ross, Westland. The Rev. C. R. "Kreeft was the officiating clergyman. The bridge, who was given away by her brother, Mr. A. Davey, wore a frock of white brocaded satin with georgette train lined with pink satin. She also wore an old family veil, with orange blossoms and carried a sheaf of pale, pink carnations and sweet peas. The bridesmaid, Miss Dorothy Davey wore a tucked frock of gold crepe de chine and carried a bouquet of autumn-tinted flowers. Little Ruth Vile, niece of the bride, who acted as train-bearer, wore a frock of pink crepe de chine and a wreath of pink flowers in her hair, Mr. R. P. Mair was the best man. After the ceremony* the guests we entertained by Mr. and Mrs. Sydney Mair at their residence, Wharekura, Hunterville.
